Match report for Central Galaxy – September 5th 2015

Central Galaxy  0  West Exe Youth 1

Central Galaxy  8  West Exe Rangers 1

"Today in our first game vs West Exe Youth we tried really hard and we had lots of chances on goal. But there goal keeper was phenomenal.

In the second match vs West Exe Rangers it was very different. Tom played striker and he played fantastic and nearly created 2 assists, and had 3 chances at goal. Tom made 2 amazing tackles and got 2 goals. Ben was playing centre back and made 5 awesome tackles, he pushed forward a bit and nearly created an assist. He passed the ball really well. Enrique on his debut played really well, he set the ball up for Tom and just skimmed the post. Felix played in midfield and made some really good chances and nearly scored as well. Aiden played in midfield and ran with the ball fantastically and caused the defence real problems, finishing 2 great goals. Reuben was excellent in defence and got stuck in awesomely. Ali was great at left midfield and got several assists and also hit the post. Finley ran strongly with the ball got an assist and finished 4 goals."

8-1 to Central Galaxy – what a start.

Match report for Central Santos – September 5th 2015

Central Santos 6 West Exe Rangers  1

Central Santos 0  West Exe Youth 3

"Central Santos welcomed West Exe Rangers to KGV for the opening fixture of the 2015/16 season. The weather was kind and the rain never materialised - so good conditions (other than a new burrow in the penalty area!). Central Santos made all the running in the first half, scoring 3 goals very quickly to put West Exe Rangers under pressure - with the visitors only getting out of their own half twice in the first 15 minutes! Santos players were showing no signs of rustiness with good passing and link play on show. The second half began with West Exe taking the game to Santos but the defence held firm with some notable tackles from James Thornburgh and Archie Hoban (who acquitted themselves very well on their Central debuts) along with Charlie Drew who was dynamic as ever. Santos added 3 more goals in the second half, with a spectacular screamer from Nial Buechler giving the opposition keeper no chance and Cody Dowdall slicing through the West Exe midfield with a pinpoint pass to Billy Knightly who finished in style with the outside of the boot. To their credit West Exe Rangers kept trying and were rewarded with a last-second goal that just crossed the line from close range. Central Santos win 6-1.

The second game against West Exe Youth was a different affair, with the visitors looking like a well drilled and organised team. Santos were by no means outclassed and went close a couple of times through Levi Owens and Billy Knightly in the first half. Joe Wood in goal kept Santos in the game early in the second half with three great saves in quick succession but West Exe Youth kept up the pressure as Santos showed signs of fatigue. Santos eventually lost 3 - 0 to a team we beat last season however there were real positives to pull from the game - most notably the attitude shown by all the players who never gave up.

Overall, a pretty good start to the season - considering only one training session before the first game and some of our experienced players unavailable! Thanks to Lee Owens for refereeing in both matches and to the parents who put up and took down the goals."

Central City under 11`s fall to their first defeat of the season.

Central City 3  Crediton Youth 4

Saturday 19th September 2015

After observing an impeccable minute silence prior to kick off in memory of Oliver Croker, Central City under 11`s fell to their first defeat of the season in a tight evenly faught contest against Crediton Youth.

An early goal from Samuel Basham saw City take the lead following up after a smart save from the Crediton goalkeeper.

The lead however was short lived, Crediton catching City on the break only 2 minutes after taking the lead with their striker powerfully finishing from just inside the box.

End to end football was the order of the day with both teams creating clear cut chances but a combination of good goalkeeping and woeful finishing keeping the scores level until 10 minutes before the break.

Crediton took the lead for the first time on 20 minutes, City caught out in the midfield and a swift counter attack saw Crediton take the lead with a ball crossed in low from the left hand side and with no defender in sight the Crediton striker swept the ball into the net giving the City keeper no chance.

City to their credit responded well a sharp shot from Basham was pushed behind by the Crediton keeper and from the resulting corner Aram Share-Turner headed the equilizer, making the half time score 2-2.

The start to the second half was a little frantic with both sides wanting to gain the upperhand, Crediton being foiled by a smart save from City keeper Corey Chudley and City putting the ball just wide from George Russell.

Crediton were handed the lead back 10 minutes into the half  when confussion in the City defence saw a ball not cleared,  a shot from the Crediton striker clipped off a City defender pass the keeper to give them a 3-2 lead.

Not wanting to be out done City again went after the equilizer finding their reward with a good finish, a scramble in the Crediton box saw the ball pinballing around falling eventually to Marcel Wloch who powered a finish from 8 yards out.

Moving into the final quater of the game saw the final goal of the game, City again caught out in the midfield area allowed Crediton to play a ball through their defence, the pace of the striker allowed him to run clear slotting the ball pass the advancing Chudley into the bottom right hand corner of the net.

The final 10 minutes saw City bravely try and get back into the game but the final whistle saw their efforts thwarted.

Away Day Wins!

Created: Sunday, 20 September 2015 00:00

On Saturday the U9s visited West Exe. Proceedings started with a well observed minutes silence in rememberance of Oliver Croker.

It was a lovely day and the pitches were in very good condition. Both teams started brightly and were soon into their stride, running out comfortable winners in the first two matches. The second round of matches saw City win and Utd lose a closely contested game. There were lots of goals from Raffy, Jaiden, James, Matthew, Reilly, Ben and Ed. We also saw lots of exciting attacking football and hard working defenders too. Notable performances included some stunning saves from Matilda and Jack including an amazing penalty save by Jack on his debut! All of the other debutants, Joe, Sam, Charlie S, Ed W and Jago performed really well and showed plenty of promise.

Once again all of the players played fairly and honestly and despite some heavy West Exe tackling, they remained calm at all times, well done.

Players of the Day - Jack S and Charlie S

RESULTS

City 4 v 0 Wolves

Utd 5 v 0 Tigers

City 8 v 0 Tigers

Central City Won 5-4 on Penalties

Saturday 12th September 2015

A slow start saw Central City Under 11`s 3-0 down after just 9 minutes in their Preliminary Round Cup match against a strong Pinhoe Gladiators side.

Belief , passion and a never give up attitude saw an amazing response from a group of players, seeing off their higher league opponents in a tense and exciting manor.

2 goals before the half time break from William Franchi and a couple of fantastic saves from goalkeeper Corey Chudley pulled Central back into the contest between two evenly matched teams.

An early goal from a corner in the second half ficked in by Aram Share-Turner drew the sides level and the completion of hat trick for the second week running by Franchi set up a highly charged and controversial ending to the match. Going into added time the ball was played through the Central defence to a player clearly 3 yards offside, with the flag raised the striker ran free at goal the referee allowing him to put the ball away for a very dubiuos goal.

Extra Time followed, solid defending and renewed confidence saw Central break away, a thunderous shot from Charlie Heaton was pushed over the bar giving them a corner from which more controversy was sparked. The inswinging corner was pushed away from goal by the Gladiators keeper straight to the feet of Wictor Iwanicki, he powered the ball into the back of the net from 10 yards only to have the celebrations cut short by the linesman flag waving for offside. A Gladiator free kick from distance flew over the bar followed a dipping shot from the edge of the box by Thom Robertson which struck the frame of the goal and was scrambled to saftey by the Pinhoe defence sending the game into a penalty shoot out.

Both teams scored their first 4 penalties with the ball being slotted away into corners and the roof of the net confidently ,Heaton, Share-Turner, Alfie Pickering and Captain Jack Long for City. Then the break came, Gladiators 5th penalty was saved by Chudley in the Central goal leaving Samuel Basham the chance to sent City into the first round proper. Basham looking very nervous kept his cool slotting the ball away into the bottom right hand corner of the net sparking wild celebrations in the City camp.

This was a well earned and deserved win played by a team who never give up - WELL DONE BOYS !!!!!

Line Up:

Corey Chudley, Aram Share-Turner, Alfie Pickering, Thom Robertson, William Franchi, Jack Long (C), George Baker, Charlie Heaton, Samuel Basham.

Subs (All used): Paul Browning, Marcel Wloch, Wiktor Iwanicki

TRAINING

Created: Tuesday, 08 September 2015 00:00

We had a positive training session at Exeter School last night and hopefully the players enjoyed themselves. There were a few teething issues which the coaches will work on. The majority of the players were sensible and committed.

A couple of thoughts/reminders:

  • Please make sure your child is under the care of a nominated adult for the duration of the session
  • Please support the coaches by reminding children of the expectations around participation, fair play, following instructions, taking part in all that is on offer etc

There are no matches this week. It is a cup week and we have byes into the next round. Enjoy the 'day off'.

Next Up -

  • Training at Exeter School 14/9 1800 to 1900
  • matches on Saturday 19th away to West Exe. Please note the earlier KO time of 0930. Let me know if your child is not available.

Match Report

Game 1: Axminster Tigers

Central were slow to start this game, with the home side making better use of the bigger pitch. Some indecisive defending gave the home team the advantage as they scored 3 first half goals without reply.

The 2nd half was much of the same although Heston did trouble the home team with some great runs.

The home team scored another 3 goals but Central managed a consolation goal scored by Luke.

FT.  6 - 1

Scores - Luke

Game 2: Millway Rise

Central reshuffled for this game and they started really well, scoring first through Daneal after a good run on goal. More defensive mistakes sadly cost Central who leaked 3 goals to go in 1 - 3 at half time.

In the 2nd half, Jacob had a shot which hit the bottom of the post but Central struggled at the back and gave 3 more goals away.

FT - 6 - 1

Scorers - Daneal

Star Player: Luke

Game 1: Millway Rise

Our first match against Millway was very entertaining, Central were slow straight from kick off and Millway took the lead but then Central started to settle and put some great passing  moves together, the goal did come with Alex finding the net. This pattern went on throughout the match and at half time it was 3-3. The second half Central increased the pressure with some great moves down the right wing by George. Central had their first headed goal and it came from a corner from George. Henry came up from defence and produced a great header into the corner, in the end Central ran out winners 4 - 6.

FT: 4 - 6

Scorers: Alex (4) George (1) Henry (1)

Star players - George and Alex

Game 2 : Axminster Tigers

The first half Central were poor against the Tigers, a lack of passing and poor defending and Tigers raced to a 2 - 0 lead by half time. The second half did not start well with a deflected goal off 2 defenders giving them a 3 - 0 lead. Central did not give up and passed the ball around and goals from George and Alex made it 3 - 2 and at the end a couple of chances should of gone in but thats football. A credit to the boys today who show character  and determination to never give up.

FT: 3 - 2

Scorers. Alex (1) George (1)

Star player - George

See you all at training on Monday and don’t forget it starts at 6pm prompt.

Match Report

Game 1:

Central found their opponents tough going in the 1st half, letting Topsham sail to a 4 -0 half time lead.

In the 2nd half Central stepped up a gear, and found a way through with Harry who took his opportunity well. The visitors did add a 5th but only the post stopped Harry grabbing a second after some good dribbling.

FT.  1 - 5

Scorers - Harry

Game 2:

In total contrast to the first game, Central took the game to their opponents and raced to a 3-0 lead, with a fabulous hat-trick from Harry, whose 2nd of which was a sublime chip over the Topsham keeper.

As the half drew to a close Topsham gave themselves a chance by finding the net twice.

Central were only denied a 4th goal by the half time whistle!

In the 2nd half, Topsham took control and were able to add 5 goals to their total. Central rallied on and grabbed a 4th with Elliot making space and shooting into the corner.

FT.  4 - 7

Scorers - Harry (3) Elliott (1)

Star Player: Harry

Game 1:

Our first game was a close encounter, Central’s first time on a larger under 9’s pitch and the grass being long did not help things. It was end to end with Central scoring first with a great display by Ned setting Alex up, Topsham came back strongly and equalised by half time. The second half carried on the same with chances at both ends with some great goal keeping from Tobias. Ned carried on with a strong second half performance again linking up with Alex who slotted in the winner.

FT: 2 - 1

Scorers: Alex (2)

Star players - Ned and Alex

Game 2 :

In our second game Topsham picked their strongest side to seek revenge and I think Central’s tiredness crept in with poor defending and clearances, also a lack of passing which led to Topsham winning comfortably by 4 goals. A good battling performance by George was the highlight of the game.

FT: 0 - 4

Star player - George

Match Report

Game 1:

Central kicked off today's games against Lympstone. It was the visitors who moved the ball better, and racing to a half time lead of 0-6. In the 2nd half Central pressed the ball more wisely and were able to capitalise with a good goal by Ned, who could have scored more in the half.

FT.  1 - 6

Scorers - Ned

Game 2:

Central faced Alphington Raiders and were quick to set their stall out with Daneal making some direct runs with the ball which troubled the visitors. However, it was Alphington who scored first with a low skidding shot. HT:0-1.

Central worked hard and ran their socks off to get back into the game but the visitors were able to score 4 second half goals without reply.

FT.  0 - 5

Star Player: Harry

Game 1:

Our first game was against Alphington Raiders, both sides found it very difficult to play a passing game in the conditions with driving rain and long grass. Both sides battled away and Central went in at half time leading 3-1. The second half followed the same pattern Alphington managed to score a couple of goals but Alex again was sharp up front scoring 3 goals. In the end we came out comfortable winners 6 - 3.

FT: 6 - 3

Scorers: Alex (6)

Star player - Alex

Game 2 :

Our second game was against Lympstone, they put up a good battling performance with plenty of goals in the 1st half and at half time it was 4-2 to central. The driving rain got heavier but Central did put together some great moves and it ended 8 - 3.

FT: 8 - 3

Goal Scorers - Alex (6) Beltran (1) Own goal (1)

I would like to thank all the parents for their support and helping putting up and taking down the goals in the driving rain.

Next training will be on the 4th January 2016 at 6pm.

On behalf of Central, myself and the coaches we would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Match Report

Game 1:

Central started well in this game showing lots of organisation in the team. It was a tight first half in which the visitors managed to score the first goal close to half time. Tobias had produced many good saves to keep the scores at 0 - 0 before this.

In the 2nd half, an early goal for the visitors doubled their lead, but Central kept knocking on the door. Jacob had a couple of shots that tested their keeper and Heston hit the post with the ball agonisingly rolling along the goal line only to be held by the keeper.

FT.  0-2

Star Player: Tobias

Game 2:

After a reshuffle Central seemed to look a bit disjointed and the visitors raced to a 0 - 3 lead at half time with Tobias, again making some good saves for Central.

Central worked hard in the 2nd half and scored an early goal through Jacob to reduce the gap but in search of more goals they forgot to defend and allowed the visitors too much space and were punished by 3 more goals.

FT.  1-6

Scorers : Jacob (1)

Star Player: Jacob

Game 1:

Central started very slow not putting many passes together and it was not long before St Martins went ahead with a very good goal. We then started to get back into the match with Riley scoring a good goal. We started to string together a few passes in the second half which enable Alex to get into the game scoring 4 goals and in the end winning quite comfortably.

FT: 5 - 2

Scorers: Alex (4), Riley (1)

Star player - Alex

Game 2 :

In our second match Central were very poor, not passing, poor marking and giving the ball away, it was end to end and towards the end it was nail biting, St Martin were winning 1 - 2 and in the last minute Alex worked hard in front of goal and found the corner and it ended up a draw in reflection was the correct score.

FT: 2 - 2

Goal Scorers - Alex (1) Riley (1)

Next week is our last training session and match before Christmas and we will be playing at home on the 19th.

Match Report

Game 1:

Central found themselves up against it from the kick off, Seaton raced into a 3 - 0 lead at half time, which may well have been more if Henry hadn't produced some fine saves.

Playing against the wind in the second half, Central were bombarded with shots but managed to score through Daneal. The hosts soon added a 4th to close the game.

FT.  4-1

Scorers - Daneal

Star Player: Henry

Game 2:

The first half saw Central out passed by the hosts, who scored 2 goals early on. Heston pulled one back with a low shot into the corner to make it 2 - 1 at half time.

Again, playing against the wind in the 2nd half Central were drained of energy as the hosts added 4 more goals without reply.

FT.  6-1

Scorers : Heston

Star Player: Heston

Game 1:

The first half saw Central Wolves dominating the play with some good passing especially from George and clinical finishing from Alex going 0-3 up by half time. The second half Seaton came back strongly scoring 3 goals making it a nervy ending but then the goal of the season from Wolves which came right from Seaton’s kick off, Alex making a great tackle in the centre circle and then weaved his way through the whole team and slotting it in the corner. Wolves holding on and it finishing 3-4.

FT: 3 - 4

Scorers: Alex (4)

Star player - Alex

Our second match against Seaton Central started strongly and controlled the first half going in 0 - 2 at half time. The second half again Central took control producing some good moves which produced another goal. Tobias produced some good saves to keep a clean sheet.

Match Report

Game 1: vs Heavitree Hawks

Central played well in this game despite the cold wind and wide pitch. Heavitree were first to score and added a second in the first half. Henry played well in goal making crucial saves. The hosts added a third in the 2nd half without reply.

FT - 3 - 0

Star Player: Henry

Game 2: vs Heavitree Eagles

A few changes made some difference with Daneal in goal and Henry outfield. Again, the hosts were first to score benefiting on some static Central defending. The hosts added a 2nd before half time.

In the 2nd half Central plugged away and were well deserved with their goal close to full time. There was time for a 4th goal however Central had a lapse in concentration and the hosts extended their lead.

FT - 3 - 1

Scorers : Harry (1)

Star Player: Harry

Central wolves first game was against Heavitree Eagles, this was our first match playing 6 a side and trying out some new formations. In the 2nd second half Riley and Alex added to the scoreline with some great team work.

FT: 1 - 6

Match Report

First up for Wanderers today were CS Cobras. Central looked to play out from the back in this game, with some good passing throughout the team but it was the home side who scored first. A great amount of effort was given by all Central players on a pitch that was deteriorating due to the weather. The home team were more decisive with their choice of passing and won the game 4 - 0.

FT - 4 - 0

The second game was against West Hill Wasps, the pitch had a huge impact on the game. Central were closest to scoring first, with Harry hitting the post with a great shot. West Hill countered straight away and took the lead. They doubled the lead shortly after but Central dug deep with Harry scoring just before half time.

In the 2nd half was back and forth, Elliot keeping goal making several crucial saves. Ned scored near the end to make it 2 - 2 and Elliot denied West Hill a last gasp winner.

FT - 2 - 2

Scorers : Harry (1) Ned (1)

No star player today as the whole team were fantastic in both matches.

Central Wolves first game was against West Hill, the pitch was like a bog with the rain still falling. Right from kick off Central got into their stride with great team work which produced some great passing and goals from Riley, Alex and Beltran. This carried on through out the match.

FT: 1 - 8

Scorers: Beltran (2) Riley (3) Alex (3)

Our second match against CS Cobras was end to end, the pitch made a huge impact on this game, getting worst by the minute and the rain getting harder which in the end sapped all the energy out of the Central lads. They gave it their all but ended up losing 6 - 4 which was a great effort.

Goal Scorers - Riley (1) Alex (3)

The star players today were the parents for standing out in those awful conditions cheering on the team.

Match Report

Today we were home to Feniton Blues.

Central Wanderers got off to a very slow start finding themselves 0 - 2 down in the opening few minutes. Only then did we start to play and showed some signs of getting into the game. The visitors extended their lead into half time, 0 - 5.

George, who played in defence in the fist half was pushed forward to trouble the visitors and he managed to get his goal early in the 2nd half. Elliott kept 2nd half goal really well making some good brave saves. At the other end Central found rhythm to their passing and should have scored more. The visitors capitalised on this and ran in 3 more goals before full time.

FT: 1 - 8

Star Player: George

Goal Scorers - George (1)

Wolves first and only game against Feniton blues was a very entertaining match. Wolves started strongly with some great team work putting together some slick passing. Alex again was very impressive in front of goal scoring a hat trick in the first half.

We started the second half very well producing some great moves, Riley and Alex again got onto the score sheet. Henry was playing in goal for the first time and produced a great display.

Match Report

Today we were home to Stoke Hill.

This week we decided to include a few older players into the Wanderers team to support the younger players as Stoke Hill have always proven to be a very strong side. Stoke Hill produced some delightful football and were leading at half time by 3 goals.

Daneal played well in goal, making some good saves to keep the scoreline down and some good defending by Eddie also helped the cause.

Stoke Hill ran out winners of this game.

FT: 0 - 8

Star Player: Eddie

A reshuffle of positions seemed to help Central in this game as Jacob and Toby grew in confidence as the game progressed. Stoke Hill were first to strike and doubled their lead shortly after. Jacob halved the deficit before half time with a great shot creeping through the keepers legs. Half Time: 1 - 2.

Another fine display in goal by Daneal in the second half, coupled with great defending by Toby kept the visitors to just 2 more goals. It could have been closer as Jacob was denied by a fine save near the end of the game.

FT: 1 - 4

Goal Scores - Jacob

Star Player - Toby

Central Wolves first match was very entertaining and I think it was the best performance of the season. Trying out a new formation Wolves dominated Stoke Hill with some great passing and by half time were 4 - 0 up with some good goals from Alex and Riley. Second half we started strongly with Beltran scoring a great team goal and star player of the match Jake produced a fantastic defensive display throughout the match.

FT: 6 - 1

Goal Scores - Beltran (1) Alex (4) Riley (1)

Star player - Jake

The next match Central Wolves ran out of steam and ended up losing 0 - 5 but there was some great saves by Tobias to keep the score line down.

Match Report

Today we were away to Broadclyst and Bradninch.

Wanderers first match was against Brandninch which was a closely fought first half and Central had Daneal to thank with a few good saves to deny the hosts the lead.  At the other end, great work by Ned, Harry and Heston on separate occasions being denied by some good defending. Bradninch opened the scoring with a high shot, going over the keepers head.

2nd half involved a lot more attacking by both teams, but it was the hosts who took their chances finishing the game 4-0 winners.

Our 2nd game was against Broadclyst started in a similar manner, this game was played at a fast pace, with Elliott making good tackles to thwart the hosts. As in the first game, the hosts took the lead, and went into half time 1-0 up.

Central carried on taking the game to Broadclyst, with Daneal hitting the post and being unlucky not to get Central a goal. The hosts won the game 4-0 but Central gave as good as they got.

Star Player: Ned

So first up for Central Wolves were Broadclyst, who started very well and scored early on and dominated the match and if it was not for Tobias with a string of fine saves kept us in the match. Central just could not get into gear with a disappointing performance and the score stayed 1-0.

FT: 0 - 1

Goal Scores -

Star Player - Tobias

The next match Central Wolves were up against Bradninch who again dominated the match with some great passing movements and scoring 2 goals. Again the star player was Tobias who made some great saves keeping the score down to 2-0.

Match Report

On a lovely summers morning (well Autumn) next up was the visit of Dawlish who brought a large contingent with them.

Central Wanderers started really slowly in this opening game which allowed Dawlish to open the scoring. The pattern continued throughout the 1st half with Dawlish adding another 2 goals before half time. HT: 0 - 3.

A change in goal for Central at half time inspired the team to push on. Even though the Wanderers failed to trouble the scoresheet, Daneal pulled off a string of good saves to deny Dawlish anymore goals.

FT: 0 - 3.

Goal Scorers -

Star Player - Daneal

With one game under their belt, Wanderers showed improvement and took the lead with a free kick scored by Sam. With Daneal continuing in goal it looked as though Dawlish would struggle to fid the net. Dawlish did manage to score the equaliser before half time and had their tails up adding to the goal, again before half time. HT: 1 - 2.

Dawlish continued to press and added a further 5 goals in the 2nd half with a consolation strike by Daneal closed the gap.

FT: 2 - 7

Goal scorers - Sam (1)  Daneal (1)

Star player - Harry

Central Wolves in their first match got off to a very slow start going 2 goals down within 5 minutes but then sorted themselves out and picked up the tempo with some good passing and playing like a team, Riley getting on the score sheet scoring a great team goal. Following last weeks performance Alex continued his great form adding another 7 goals to his tally. Tobias put in another strong performance in goal whilst Beltran played really well with a very strong defensive display being his first game of the season.

FT: 8 - 2

Goal Scores - Alex (7), Riley (1)

Star Player - Beltran

The next match Central Wolves started strongly and dominated the whole of the match with more goals from Alex (scoring a great free kick) and Riley getting his first hat-trick. Toby’s and Ed’s confidence grew and did some great tackling.Beltran put in another great performance also scoring his first goal of the season.

FT: 11 - 1

Goal Scorers - Riley (3) Beltran (1) Alex (7)

Star Player - Riley

Match Report

After two training sessions the boys were really looking forward to their first match against West Exe which was going to be tough.

Central Wanderers I think in their first match had stage fright as most of the boys had never played a proper match before and West Exe dominated the match with a 15-0 score line, to their credit wanderers never let their heads drop and Heston was tireless in his role.

The next match Wanderers went from being dominated to the dominant in the 1st half and goals from Harry and Daneal gave them a 2-1 lead going into half time. West Exe came out fighting and came out on top scoring 7 goals but thanks to Elliott who made some great saves and kept the scoreline down and it finished 9-2.

Goal Scorers - Daneal (1), Harry (1)

Star Player - Elliott

Central Wolves first match was very competitive and all the boys put in a great performance with some good passing and great finishing from Alex scoring four goals. Their was some great saves by Tobias to keep the scoreline down and Riley started to dominate the midfield to set up Alex. The score line finished 4-3 to Wolves.

The last match was very entertaining with end to end action and lots of goals, Riley getting his first goal for Central Wolves and Alex must of had his Weetabix this morning finishing with another four and the match finished 5-5.

Goal Scores - Alex (8), Riley (1)

Star Player - Alex

All players played with great sportsmanship and respected the one minute silence.

I would like to thank all the parents who set up the goals and I should not forget the two referees.

Training will be on Monday 6pm - 7pm Exeter School

See you all then

PLEASE NOTE - Following the death of a young bradnich supporter "Oliver Crocker" ealier this week after a freak accident the EYL has asked us to hold a minutes silence in the memory of Oliver prior to kick off. I think it would be a good idea if you speak to your son and explain what will be happening.
